Chronic Pain Support Group

Welcomes you
Welcome to the Chronic Pain Support Group
We're glad you’ve joined us. Here’s a quick orientation to help you get settled:

1. Introduction
-
Purpose: This group is a safe space where members can share their experiences, provide mutual support, and learn new ways to manage chronic pain.
-
Confidentiality: Everything shared in the group stays in the group. Respect each other's privacy.
2. Meetings
-
Frequency: We meet every Tuesday at 7:00 pm via Zoom (unless otherwise notified).
-
Members will receive an email confirming the date and time two days before the meeting.
-
Format: Meetings typically start with a check-in, during which members briefly share how they're feeling. This is followed by discussing a specific topic or an open-sharing session.
-
Facilitators: Gary facilitates the group, and is here to guide the conversation and ensure a supportive environment.
3. Group Guidelines
-
Respect: Listen without interrupting, and speak from your experience using “I” statements.
-
Participation: Share as much or as little as you're comfortable with. There's no pressure to speak.
-
Support, Not Advice: Offer support rather than unsolicited advice. Sometimes just listening is the best way to help.
4. Getting the Most Out of the Group
-
Be Open: This is a space for honesty. Sharing your experiences can be therapeutic and can also help others.
-
Practice Self-Care: After sharing, take time to care for yourself. It’s important to balance emotional sharing with self-compassion.
6. Questions & Support
-
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask during the meeting or reach out to the facilitator privately at info@neohiopain.com.
We’re here to support you on your journey. Welcome to the group
